Coincidence seedling of Golden Delicious. Cox Orange is assumed to be the father variety. Detected 1966 by Peter Hauenstein and brought out 1982 under variety-protection by the tree nursery Hauenstein AG in Rafz, Switzerland.
Small to medium sized, green yellow, up to ¾ orange to rusty-red striped to marbled. Meat firmly and fine cellular.
Very juicy, very high sugar and very high acidity, spicily and fruitily flavour.
At the end of September.
In cold storage to at the end of November, in CA storage until the end of January.
Well suitably for the kitchen.
