Fruit – Vegetable – Tropical Fruits

In 1935, Idared was crossbred between the Jonathan and Wagener Apples in Idaho,USA.
The apple is medium to large in size and uniformly round in shape. It is shiny red and can be crimson striped to washed-out opaque with a yellowish-greenish to white-yellow primary colour on top of it.
It tastes somewhat mildly acidic and has high content of vitamin C. The white to cream-coloured flesh is firm, very juicy and fresh.
From the end of September.
In cold storage until the end of January and in CA storage until the end of June.
The Idared is a very versatile fruit that may be used in the fruit bowl as well as in cooking and baking and it is also especially valuable because it has high productivity and few tanning agents for the production of juice. Beyond that, it can be stored perfectly in the household for any length of time.
