It is a coincidence seedling that was discovered in 1778 by M. Longueval in Avranches, France.
It is small to medium sized and yellowish-green with a half puce washed-out opaque colour. The flesh is juicy and melts in the mouth with typical flavour for a pear. Well developed fruits have a strong taste and are well suited to desiccation.
They have a fine aroma.
From the end of August until the middle of September.
In cold storage until the middle of January and they are durable in CA storage until in the middle of March. They have transportation stability.
