It was created through crossbreeding Kidd’s Orange and Golden Delicious. It was bred by H. J. Kidd in Greytown, New Zealand and has been in production since 1960.
It is small to medium sized and has a yellow skin with a marbled bright red opaque colour. The proportion and intensity depend in the type: firm, hard-flesh and juicy pulp.
A Very sweet and juicy fruit that is mild and finely aromatic.
From the beginning of September until the beginning of October.
It may be placed in cold storage until the end of December and put in CA storage until the end of May.
