Origin

The Fuji apple has its origin in Japan. It was bred 1939 in Morioka/Japan and developed from a cross breeding between the varieties Rall’s Janet and Red Delicious.

Fruit

The Fuji has a gently pink to crimson, easily striped opaque colour on yellow-greenish primary colour. It is medium sized, compact and very juicy. An occasionally occurrence of easy glassyness attests to high sugar content.

Flavour

The taste of the Fuji is extremely aromatic. The apple is firm and juicy sweet.
