It is a seedling of the Holzfarbene Butterbirne, bred in 1860 by Thaddeus Clapp in Dorchester, (the USA).
Medium to large. The skin is yellowish to green and sun-laterally washed-out red.
The flesh is juicy and savoury.
August until September.
