Roundish with a peduncle and a blossom somewhat flattened.
White green to pale yellow and sandy with a distinctly much darker fine and even coloured ribs.
Dark apricot-coloured and orange in the middle. Juicy and sweet with an aroma reminiscent of pawpaws.
Charentais melons have ribs or warts on the paring and belong to the category of the muskmelons.
From the middle of June to September; the fruits taste mostly aromatic in July and August.
Charentais melons are said to be the sugarmelons with the best taste.
